NYJO @ Ronnie Scott’s January 2012
1 January, 2012
Callum makes his final appearance as a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra at Ronnie Scott’s club for three nights this week. He has been a member of the band since 2005, and has held the lead trombone chair since 2008.
As part of the show, the band will be playing a new piece commissioned from Callum by Mike Thirlwall, son of the famous British bass trombonist Jack Thirlwall.
The piece is aptly titled ‘Gentleman Jack’. The band will also be playing several other of Callum’s compositions and arrangements during its residency at the club.
